About Trading on MT5

An independent knowledge terminal for traders who use MetaTrader 5. No broker affiliations dressed up as reviews. No PR rewrites. No filler.

What this site is

Trading on MT5 is an educational resource covering every aspect of the MetaTrader 5 platform. Platform internals, broker connection architecture, trading strategies, indicators, Expert Advisors, and the engineering behind them.

The goal is straightforward: build the single most accurate, technically rigorous, and continuously updated reference on MT5 that exists. A trader landing here should be able to learn how MT5 actually works from first principles, evaluate brokers without falling for marketing, and make informed decisions about their own trading.

Why we built it

Most MT5 content online is one of three things: vendor marketing rewritten as a guide, AI-generated filler that confidently states wrong facts about the platform, or affiliate content that obscures real broker quality issues. Traders deserve better.

This site fills that gap. The content is independently researched, version-aligned with the current MT5 build, and the editorial position is: if a broker has a problem, we write about it.

What you will find here

  • Learn: the platform from installation through advanced configuration. Charts, orders, account types, session management.
  • Brokers: the technical reality of MT5 broker infrastructure. Server clusters, A-book vs B-book, the Ultency matching engine, bridge software.
  • Strategies: battle-tested setups for gold, major forex, and indices on MT5.
  • Tools: indicators, Expert Advisors, MQL5 programming, backtesting methodology.

Editorial standards

Every guide on this site adheres to the following:

  • Primary sources are cited where possible. MetaQuotes official documentation, MQL5 community release notes, broker disclosure documents, regulator filings.
  • Content includes the MT5 build it was reviewed against and the date of last review.
  • Affiliate relationships are disclosed at the top of any broker review they apply to.
  • Corrections are visible. If a guide is updated to fix an error, the change is noted at the bottom of the page.
